Get to know a few of the personalities you'll encounter within the cosy Café No.5 walls...
Current
Sam
Being Café No.5's owner, operator and general man about town, Sam has developed his humble eatery into one of the brightest stars in the funkified Centre Place cafe precinct.
Born of humble parents in 1964, he came to this country with nothing but a pair of baking shoes and big dreams of the tastiest muffins in the land.
Sam's persistence has paid off, as anyone who has devoured one of Café No.5's home-baked rassberry and white chocolate muffins will attest.
He loves life, his new iPhone and a chat, so make sure you say hello next time your hunger leads you down the laneway...
Meg
With a big smile, bubbly personality, penchant for exotic travel and funny accent, Meg has been serving Café No.5 customers off and on for a few years now.
Recently returned from her latest overseas jaunt she's back in town and taking orders.. except from Sam as somebody has to keep him in line.
Michelle
Long time customer - first time worker, Michelle figured she was spending so much time at Café No.5 as a student that she might as well get paid for it.
She's recently got herself hitched and will be off to the the UK in October, so make the most of her welcoming smile and service while stocks last!
Mart
Hailing from Amsterdam, Mart has landed in Melbourne to be with his Aussie girlfriend... whom he naturally met in Thailand.
With a background in social work and time spent in prison (as an employee, not a resident!) Mart has many interesting stories to tell.
Making the most of his time in Australia, he'll shortly be off on a few interstate trips. So don't be surprised if you spy him wandering through the background of your favourite lifestyle travel program on the telly...

Ian
Ian worked at Café No.5 for several years and was personally responsible for some of the best coffees Melbourne has tasted.
He's now enjoying a brand new life up in sunny Queensland... lucky bugger!
Natalia
Another familiar face at Café No.5, Natalia is currently exploring the Spanish countryside. She's also started a new career in tourism, so hopefully she can claim the trip as 'resarch' on her tax return.
When in Melbourne she often pops in for a coffee, so say 'olé' if you see her smiling face in one of the Café No.5 booths.
